Wonderful winter tire
So far I have loved these tires. I drive over 2 winter passes weekly wtih an elevation change of just around 4k feet. Driving through winter with the confidience of these tires has defenitely helped me feel safer. I have run winter tires in the past, but not a Nokian. The Hakkapeliitta R5 has seemed stronger and less "boat like" on the road. I have better dry pavement feel - like a summer tire - and the winter traction is incredible. I had read these are at the top rated and I wanted to try them out for a coule seasons. So far my frist 3000 miles have been very good. Smooth ride, great traction in snow and slippery situaitons and I have not heard any noise from them. My AWD Subaru has extra power and extra weight and these tires have been just fantastic so far.
