These tires primarily fulfill the requirements of light trucks and SUVs, and the tire brand ensures that its innovative products are rigorously tested for superior on- and off-road performance.

The Fury Country Hunter R/T is a rugged-terrain that combines the skills of all-terrain and mud-terrain tires to deliver good on- and off-road traction and provide smooth highway driving experience. This tire is designed for use on light trucks, Jeeps, and SUVs, and is considered as an affordable offering.

But, is this tire offered with adequate skills and features to deliver what it’s intended for? Let’s do a detailed analysis in this Fury Country Hunter R/T tire review.

    Features and Benefits

The Fury Country Hunter R/T comes with dual-tire capabilities. It has the ability to perform on- and off-road, which means it can be used on the highway and can climb rocks like an all-terrain tire. It can also be used in extremely challenging conditions like mud, dirt, gravel, sand, and rocks like a mud-terrain tire.

This tire gets various advanced technologies and features, which makes it a good performer in diverse conditions. Let’s check out the key features and benefits of this tire:

    • Solid on- and off-road traction – This tire features a multi-directional staggered block design that offers solid on- and off-road traction and ensures smooth highway rides.
    • Enhanced grip in challenging conditions – The Country Hunter R/T has open shoulder tread blocks that enhance grip in mud, gravel, dirt, snow, and sand, making this tire good for use on all kinds of terrains.
    • Better durability – Made for use in challenging conditions, this tire gets a high turn-up, 3-ply construction for better durability, responsive handling, and increased impact resistance.
    • Optimal self-cleaning – The arched segmented stone ejectors extend from shoulder to shoulder of the tread pattern and prevent stones and debris from accommodating between the tread blocks. This helps the tire in achieving continuous and maximum traction and deliver solid performance on varied terrains.
    • Improved wet traction – The variable sipes seen on the tread of this tire improves wet traction. These sipes also improve off-road traction throughout the life of the tire.
    • Year-round performance – This tire features an all-season tread compound that provides a solid dry, wet, and light winter weather grip. The tread elements create a good number of biting edges to provide enhanced grip on the surface. Additionally, the rubber seen on the tread is optimized for better flexibility in various temperatures.
    • Increased steering responsiveness and driving stability – As this tire features a solid internal structure, it increases steering responsiveness and driving stability.
    • Reduced deformation – The reinforced ply construction of the Country Hunter R/T helps it to maintain the ideal shape under load and driving pressure.

The Country Hunter R/T is offered in 17 to 22-inch rim sizes, which means it is compatible with most SUVs, pickups, and Jeeps used in the United States. However, the manufacturer doesn’t offer any limited manufacturer tread life warranty coverage.

    Pros and Cons

Now that you know a lot about the Fury Country Hunter R/T, let’s have a look at its pros and cons to derive a conclusion. Here’re the positives of this tire:

    • This tire is more affordable than most of its peers
    • The aggressive design compliments the overall look of the vehicle

    • The reinforced construction allows it to withstand the harshest of off-roading impacts

Fury makes a good claim that the tire can offer the drivers the best of both on- and off-road worlds. However, like all other tires, it too isn’t as perfect as it may seem. Let’s have a look at its negatives:

    • The noise levels are high while driving on paved roads
    • Some of its competitors perform better in off-road conditions
    • It doesn’t come with any tread life warranty
    • The winter performance is not as good as some of its rivals

If you are confused about whether to buy an all-terrain or a mud-terrain tire, the Country Hunter R/T comes as a good solution. It combines the abilities of both all- and mud-terrain tires and is available at an affordable price point. The aggressive design of this tire can appeal the enthusiasts and can make your vehicle more aesthetically appealing. The construction of the tire is adequately durable and it has the elements to ensure optimal self-cleaning and serve well in off-road conditions.

However, on paved surfaces, it has issues related to tread noise, and during winter, its performance isn’t as good as its alternatives. One thing the buyers might not like is that it is not covered by any tread life warranty.

I live in Utah and these work great in the hot summers and cold snowy winters! The road noise is low. I tow a boat a lot during the summer, and these have been great for that as well. Only have 12,000 miles on them so far but they are wearing great.

I've owned a pretty good amount of namebrand tires. Let me just sort of by saying this brand by far is probably the best I've ever had on my 2015 Chevy Silverado. The tire life on this is just amazing and they do the job offerings. Super quiet, I have no complaints about this tire at all.

Do not buy these tires, they are cheap and wont balance. Spend a few hundred more and get a quality tire.

I have had this tire's balanced twice by two different shop's and they believe I have a tire out of round! I have a vibration that I never had before and every part in the front end is new! not sure what to do about it being I bought them online! Simpletire shipping was fast and at a great price but not sure I will buy tire's online again because of this. they do great in the snow and rain I will say that but the vibration is driving me nut's .

I was hesitant at first on these tires but I now highly recommend these to anyone. I am a full time foster parent and part time broadcast engineer. I needed something that rode smother than reqular old mud tires for every day use and for pulling a camper but something with enough traction to not get stuck in a tower site on a river bottom that floods frequently. These tires do both. Much quieter on the road so we don't have to yell at each other but enough traction to keep me from Getting stuck at my transmitter sites . Would strongly recommend these to anyone.
