  • Falken Sincera ST80 A/S

The Sumitomo-owned Falken Tire was established in 1983 under the high-performance brand of Ohtsu Rubber & Tire, Japan. Foraying in the US in 1991, Falken soon became popular with its racing pedigree and, later, its off-road tires. The tire brand has its presence in different categories like all-season, all-weather, winter, all-terrain, mud-terrain, highway-terrain, and UHP. After registering its presence in multiple motorsport events, Falken introduced the Sincera series in 1988. Falken Sincera ST80 A/S is a great all-season tire that offers fantastic traction, durability, handling, and longevity.

Designed for coupes, sedans, CUVs, and SUVs, the Sincera ST80 A/S is a versatile tire for year-round use in dry, wet, and light snowy conditions. Packed with 3D Canyon Sipe technology, it delivers impressive wet traction, braking, and handling performance. With a solid backing of a 70,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty, the Falken tire features interlocking tread elements that boost traction and improve stability in different driving conditions. So, is it worth going for? Let's try to answer in this Falken Sincera ST80 A/S review.

    Features and Benefits

All-season tires provide superior traction, handling, and durability in dry, wet, and light wintry conditions throughout the year. They last long and are the preferred category of tires here in the US. In the same category, the Falken Sincera ST80 A/S has the following features and benefits:

    • Increased traction- The four circumferential grooves of the Sincera ST80 A/S allow quick water expulsion from the tread to avoid the risk of hydroplaning and boost wet traction. While the interlocking tread elements improve traction, the asymmetrical tread design ensures optimum grip and performance throughout the year.
    • Enhanced longevity- The unique rubber compound of the all-season tire ensures the wearing process is delayed for a longer service life. The optimized tread pattern not only reduces noise and vibration levels but also promotes even wear throughout the tire’s life cycle.
    • High tread depth- The high tread depth is helpful in boosting traction and performance as an all-season tire.
    • Available warranty- A healthy 70,000 mile limited manufacturer wear warranty is available.
    • Great steering response– Featuring 3D Canyon Sipe Technology, the Falken tire delivers fantastic handling and stability, along with superb wet performance. Moreover, the angled tread grooves improve mud and snow handling performance. The solid shoulder design with alternating small and big lateral grooves ensures enhanced stability and control.

It's been a dry summer, haven't been in real rain storm and no snow yet. How much tread wear can you see in 2 months ? That said they seem to roll quite well and I don't notice any noise. I'd consider buying them again or for another vehicle.

Tires seem to be perfect for our Jeep Patriot. Have done well in the Arizona monsoon weather. Good on the highway. Good on dirt. Good on city streets. No complaints so far. Road noise is minimal. Glad we opted for Fallen even though I was not familiar with the brand. Good choice all the way around. Made better by good price. We are pleased.

These are the best tires I've had on my 2017 Kia Soul since I purchased it new. This is the third set of tires I've experienced on this vehicle including the set that came with the vehicle. The other two brands do not compare for comfort and reliability, and handling in all weather conditions. As good as these tires are performing now after a few months of having them, I am confident I'll get the wear expected as well.
