G-Ball tire will not stand by the warranty on this tire, not even if every thing on your end has been upheld to a platinum standard, with installation records, by a tire company ST recommended in the first place, and even in the event said tire installation company agrees wholly that the wear was well premature with every Rotation done by said tire company on almost exact 1000 mile rotations, furthermore several sets of the same tires on 3 different trucks, two of which have had multiple sets of the same kanati trail hog 40k mi warranty, non of which got over 22,000mi before completely wearing down to metal; Will NOT stand by their claimed warranty of 40k mi.. That being said the tire tread pattern is great and my experience in actual performance of this tire per my daily requirements; it is not that noisy or even a problem, its a fairly aggressive square knob tire - your going to get noise. I buy this tire because it gets me through the deep western NY field mud every time, plows effortlessly through 18" of western NY lake affect heavy snow to get me to my work as a loader plow operator. It has never let me down when pulling my 12klb camper or with my excavator for my business, I can even say ive never had an actual puncture flat on these sets of Kanati trail hog tires. They just wont stand by the 40k mi warranty wether it be commercial or personal use... Why even state or offer it?

Finding a tire that balances the needs of off-roading with highway commuting is often a challenge for Jeep, light truck, and SUV owners. The Kanati Trail Hog A/T-4 aims to bridge that gap, offering a rugged look and performance that is above its price point. In this Kanati Trail Hog A/T-4 review, we will delve into its performance, durability, and overall value.
Features and Benefits

The Kanati Trail Hog A/T-4 is engineered to be a true do-it-all tire. One of its most notable features is its aggressive, high-void tread pattern. It's optimized for self-cleaning, allowing the tire to easily eject mud, slush, and stones to maintain consistent contact with the ground.
Key features of the Trail Hog A/T-4 include:
- All-weather performance: Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) certified, meaning it has met the industry's rigorous standards for performance in severe snow conditions, providing superior winter traction compared to standard all-terrain tires.
- Heavy-duty construction: Built with a resilient 10-ply rated carcass (depending on the size), the Trail Hog A/T-4 offers the durability to handle heavy loads and resist punctures.
- Enhanced traction: Features large, staggered blocks with a high density of sipes that provide biting edges for better grip on icy roads and wet pavement, while large shoulder lugs assist with lateral stability during off-road cornering.
- Quiet on-Road Manners: Despite its aggressive appearance, it has a specialized tread block arrangement to help dampen road noise.
- Can be pinned with studs: For drivers who experience extreme winter climates, it can be pinned for #13 studs.
Pros and Cons
Every tire involves a trade-off between different performance metrics. When considering the Kanati Trail Hog A/T-4, it is important to weigh the advantages against the potential drawbacks.
PROS:
- Exceptional Value: It offers performance and features often found in premium tier tires at a significantly more accessible price point.
- Severe Winter Rated: The Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) certification makes it a legitimate year-round tire for those living in northern areas.
- Rugged Durability: The tough internal construction and chip-resistant compound make it ideal for gravel roads and rocky trails.
- Aggressive Aesthetics: It provides a mud-terrain look without the extreme noise typically associated with MT tires.
CONS:
- Decreased fuel efficiency: Due to its heavy-duty construction, it may slightly impact fuel economy.
- Shorter tread life: While durable off-road, some users may find the tread wears faster on hot pavement compared to a highway-terrain tire.
- Stiff ride: The high-ply rating provides strength but can affect ride quality when the vehicle is not loaded.

Noise is as expected, but they have an excessive runout causing incurable vibration and steering wheel wobble.
noise is understandable for mud tires
Tires look great and drive well. They look aggressive and can't wait for the snow!
Ordered 5 tires to include a spare, 4/5 tires balanced good with no defects 1 tire was out of round, rotated a few times on the wheel took more weight than it should to balance. Drove on it for a bit, i am running lower than normal pressures after doing a chalk test so It doesnt feel too bad but you can tell its there. Made that one my spare.....I would nornally not accept this but since I already mounted and drove on it Im sure it would be a paint to return now. Plus for what I am doing with it, not a big deal.On anything else running higher pressure it would be worse. Other 4 tires were good, they are not as loud as I thought they would be, balanced well, look great handle greay so far on dry pavement. Cant wait to try them out in snow and offroad.
Will continue to buy these, this was my 5th or 6th set.
These are all around good tires I like them
Ran these for years on my 08 f350 6.4 always got 35-40k out of them with life left. Always gave me good traction in anything I needed them too. Went to falkens for years and forgot about kanati. Now switching back on one of my other trucks. Always been a solid tire for the money.
